The B.I.G. Platform
Doing Moore for District 4
When I ran for City Council, I made a commitment to bring real progress to District 4—and together, we’ve done just that. From safer streets to revitalized neighborhoods and stronger community involvement, we’ve tackled the challenges and delivered results. But we’re not stopping here.
I built my platform around three key priorities—Beautification, Involvement, and Growth (B.I.G.)—because I believe in a future where every neighborhood in District 4 thrives. And together, we’ve already made incredible progress.

WHAT’S NEXT
The Fourfront
We’ve made great progress in cleaning up our neighborhoods, repairing roads, and restoring homes—but there’s still more to do. I want District 4 to be the cleanest, best-kept district in Birmingham.
That’s why we’re launching the FourFront Task Force—a team of dedicated residents working together to track and follow up on community concerns.
Empowering residents to take the lead in addressing blight, illegal dumping, and neglected spaces.
Providing an extra layer of accountability by monitoring reports and keeping track of unresolved issues.
Keeping my office informed so we can push for faster action from the city to resolve outstanding concerns.
This task force ensures that residents have a stronger voice in shaping a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant District 4.

Building regional leadership groups and district-wide meetings for better collaboration.

WHAT’S NEXT
District 4 - B.R.I.G.H.T.
Brownfield Redevelopment for Investment, Growth, Housing, and Transformation
The B.R.I.G.H.T. Initiative is a community-led effort to turn vacant, underused, and polluted properties in District 4 into spaces that benefit residents, small businesses, and the local economy. Thanks to new state legislation in Alabama, this initiative provides incentives to clean up and redevelop these sites—helping to restore land, create jobs, and drive economic growth in our communities.
Partner with state agencies, universities, and environmental experts to identify and assess brownfield sites.
Host community input sessions to gather resident concerns and ideas for site reuse.
Offer state-backed incentives and grants to small businesses and developers transforming brownfield sites into community assets.
Form a Brownfield Advisory Board with community members, business leaders, and environmental experts to guide project selection and ensure accountability.
Advocate for tax credits and property tax relief for developers and organizations repurposing brownfield sites for community benefit.
